Back to School Shopping?
Okay, so I'm going into 8th grade and I need a whole new look. I don't want to look like I'm in junior high, since I'll be leaving the school in only a year. I want to look like I'm in high school. However, my school has a ridiculous dress code, which is::
No halters
No spaghetti straps without a sweater
No bra straps showing
No heals
No short shorts
No flip flops
No random colored highlights (pink, blue, purple, green, etc . . . But blond is okay)
Anyway, I'm not the skinniest girl, but I'm definitely not fat. So, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on clothes I should buy, shoes I should buy, where I should shop, and if anyone had any hairstyle suggestions (I like side bangs). Oh and it can't be *too* expensive, or else my mom won't buy it. Thanks!
I live in New York, so it's pretty hot up until October. So, the first day of school outfit needs to be something for summer. Thanks!
I'm a sophomore in high school and I would just look for cute fashion tops in places like Forever 21, Heritage 1981, Rue 21, Charlotte Russe, Wet Seal, and Rave. You know, something more than just your basic v-neck, but not too dressy. All of the places I mentioned are relatively inexpensive, so your mom should be okay with them. You can look in the clearance section of American Eagle or Hollister for some good deals. Aeropostale is cheap, but from what I've noticed no one really shops there in high school, except for basics. I usually wear skinny jeans and I buy the majority of my jeans from Jcpenney since they're pretty cheap and fit well. I like wearing skirts and dresses from time to time though and get most of them from Forever 21. For shoes, I'm a big fan of ballet flats, since they're perfect for school, but they're not as casual as say, sneakers. When I do wear sneakers, I like Vans and Converse. I get most of my shoes like flats from Payless and DSW, but there's tons of Vans and Converse in Journey's. For hair, I'd just go with side bangs since they look great on everyone, and maybe try for a surprise change. You could cut it short and donate to Locks of Love or just get lots of layers. Get some hair accesories like headbands and clips from somewhere like Forever 21 or Icing. Hope I helped, and good luck in eighth grade
